ATTENTION COMPETITORS

Each competitor is responsible for supplying management with correct association numbers (USDF, United States Equestrian Federation) for horse, owner, rider, and trainer, before the day(s) of the competition.

 

The scores of competitors who fail to supply correct numbers may not be counted toward national awards.

THIS IS CONSIDERED TWO SHOWS. PLEASE USE A SEPARATE ENTRY BLANK FOR SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. USEF FEES AND OFFICE FEES ARE PAID FOR EACH SHOW. STALLING IS PAID ONCE.

 

USEF MEMBERSHIP STATEMENT

 

Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Preliminary Level or above and Combined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides provided the respective breed/discipline dues or breed/discipline category fee has been paid.  A nonmember may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach, or trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $20 nonmember registration fee and a $5 breed/discipline category fee for each breed/discipline.  Participants in the following classes are exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) leadline; 2) exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed Reining Competitions; 8) Opportunity classes; 9) citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own National Federation; 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes.

Classes

 Every class offered herein which is covered by the rules and specifications of the current USEF Rule Book will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith. All standard classes, i.e. Prospect, Breeding Stock, Group, Materiale, and Prospects Under Saddle, will be held on Saturday and Sunday. IBC classes will be offered on Saturday only and must have a minimum of 3 horses entered to complete the class. Copies of registration papers must be submitted with entry to be eligible. IBC class sponsors are American Hanoverian Society, American Holsteiner Horse Association, Dutch Warmblood Studbook of North America, Oldenburg Horse Breeders Society, and Rheinland Pfalz-Saar International. Please refer to the class list for the class number.

Refunds

Before the closing date, all fees will be refunded except office fees.  After the closing date and through the competition, no refunds will be given, including acts of God and terrorism.

Entries

Submit all entry forms (one per show), copies of rider/owner/trainer/horse USEF/USDF cards, current coggins, and payments to the show secretary, Susan Peacock.  All fees must accompany entries.  No telephone entries will be accepted.  Late entries will be accepted if space is available and accompanied by a $25 post entry fee.  Any changes after the closing date will incur a $10 change fee.  Please send a separate check for each show, made payable to Silver Creek Farms.  Visa, Master Card, and American Express are also accepted with a $10 credit card fee per show per entry.

Tentative show times will be available at www.showsecretary.com.  Official show times will be posted in the show office on Friday.

Awards

IIn each standard class, prizes for first place and ribbons through sixth place will be awarded. Awards and ribbons for Champion and Reserve will be awarded in all championship classes. High point breed awards will be offered by American Hanoverian Society, Dutch Warmblood Studbook of North America, International Sporthorse Registry / Oldenburg Registry North America, Oldenburg Horse Breeders Society, Rheinland Pfalz-Saar International, and Westfalen Horse Association. Overall high point award will be offered by Mid-America Sporthorse Association on Saturday. Overall high point and reserve high point awards will be offered by South Central Sporthorse Breeders Association on Sunday. 

Stabling

Limited 12 x 12 permanent stalls are available for stallions.  Most stabling will be in 10 x 10 tent stalls with stall doors.  The first 2 bags of shavings are included in the price of the stall.  Stabling requests will be granted, if possible.  There is a $25/day grounds fee for horses not stabling.

Arenas & Footing

Classes will be held in a 100’ x 225’ covered arena which has dust free, sneaker footing and 6’ kick walls.  An outdoor arena with sand/rubber footing will be available for warm-up and lunging.

Concessions

Concessions will be available on the grounds on Saturday and Sunday.

Dog Policy

Friendly, well-mannered dogs are allowed, but must be leashed at all times and remain in the stabling area only.  Loose dogs will be impounded and the owner will pay a $100 fee.

Protective Head Gear

Protective head gear should be worn while mounted.

Motorized Vehicles

Drivers of motorized vehicles on the competition grounds must have a valid driver’s license issued by their state of residence.  Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule.
